In 1980, Hall & Oates, an American pop rock musical duo composed of Daryl Hall and John Oates. Re-recorded the song as there 7th track single from there album Voices released in 1980 but the song only reached #12 on U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and #55 on the U.K.
Hall & Oates version was made famous as featured in the 1986 Top Gun movie that Tom Cruise sung in a bar in an attempt to accomplish a bet with his partner.
