I was a total Toddhead in the Seventies, and a fan of Hall & Oates' Abandoned Luncheonette album. When I heard Todd was producing the then-new H&O album War Babies, I was psyched. It has always been a favorite of mine, and this song in particular holds a special place in my heart, right along with "70s Scenario" and "Screaming Through December." Thanks for the post.

@IceNiceCoder: I agree, maroon 5 aren't usually soulful, having a stiff, cold sound rather than coming more from the heart. their songwriting is a good bit less consistent, and they only have one good hit- "Sunday Morning"- to their credit. Their lead singer has talent and more, but he's no Daryl, nor is he John.

@inzevortex Yes, War Babies was the only Album Todd Rundgren produced, as TR did this around the time his AWATS and 'Todd' albums were released, so a lot of that style is in here.
