The motorcycle scenes were inspired by the movie the great escape with Steve McQueen.

Last night I dreamed you were back againLarger than life again, holding me tight againPlacing those same kisses on my browSweeter than ever now, lord I remember howCouldn't get enough of kissing, do you know how much you're missingNo you don't, but I doThe days like a slow train trickle byAnd even the words that I write refuse to flyAll I can hear is your song haunting meCan't get the melody out of my head, you seeDistractions are amusing, do you know how much you're losingNo you don't, but I doBut I do, and I wonder if I'm past the point of rescueIs no word from you at all the best that you can doI never meant to push or shove you, do you know how much I love youNo you don't, but I doI swore I'd never fall like this againFools like me never win, came to my knees againCan't close the door on likely hoodThings might be just as good, I always believed they wouldGotta let your love invite me, baby do you think it might beNo you don't, but I doBut I do, and I wonder if I'm past the point of rescueIs no word from you at all the best that you can doI never meant to push or shove you, do you know how much I love youNo you don't, but I doBut I do, and I wonder if I'm past the point of rescueIs no word from you at all the best that you can doI never meant to push or shove you, do you know how much I love youNo you don't, but I doI know you don't, but I doI know you don't, but I do

Hal played in a bar outside of Hays, KS back in the 90's and a friend of mine who was tending bar had a nice conversation with him. She said he was very nice to her and a few months later when he appeared on Nashville Now he said.."I am going to dedicate this song to Louise from Kansas and played "Small Town Saturday Night." That doesn't sound like a bad person to me...

Saw him in concert in Denver and he was a rude, arrogant bastard. I love this song but I will never buy anything of his again.

He was a very classy artist, all, the songs from this album were gems, this was my favorite, followed closely by I Know Where Love Lives. I was so sad to hear of his health issues, hope he is better now. It is so distressing to me that many of the great Country Music videos of the 90's are slowly vanishing here on YouTube. I have lost several favorites. I wish they would be reposted.

My fiance was murdered just prior to me seeing this video for the first time. I could relate to being past the point of rescue. Hit home.

Wow. I hate to hear that he's had so many health issues. I've always considered Hal one of the best song writers in country music. He has a knack for writing songs that evoke strong emotional responses. This is one of them.

@johnnyHazzard Hal released his last album in 2008. In June 1998, Ketchum was diagnosed with a neurological disorder called Acute Transverse Myelitis, an ailment of the spinal column, which left Ketchum without the use of the left side of his body. He had to relearn basic tasks, including how to walk and play the guitar. He has since been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which his mother died of. (Wikipedia)
