Gwynneth Joubert was born on 20 August 1960. At the age of 9 she started singing with various bands at her father's pleasure resort, Robinson Lake, near Randfontein, South Africa, where she was subsequently "discovered" by singer Jody Wayne. She recorded a number of hit songs during the 70s, including this one that was released in 1974.
She was tragically killed in May 1976, along with the members of her backing group, in a light aircraft accident at Penge in Mpumalanga.
