Some noodling on my Les Paul with Jimmy Page Wiring into Peavey Classic 30 (c30) amp using THD Hotplate and passive Treble Bleed circuit that does not use a capacitor. The amp volume was wide open, but volume to the speaker was only at room level thanks to the THD Hotplate. I just love this amp. with the amp volume cranked it has a really nice spongey feel to it as you dig in to the strings...the amp pushes back. Most of the distortion you hear is coming from the output tubes. I just use a small amount of drive on the 2nd channel of the amp, crank the volume and adjust the output via the THD Hotplate and it really gets the valves cooking. My treble bleed mod is one that does not require any modification to the electronics inside the guitar at all. Keeps all the treble when rolling back the guitars volume pots. So if you are interested to know how this is done just send me an email at the address shown at the end of the video and I will let you know.

By the way, for those who are interested, I have an album out that contains this style of playing including some "live" stuff too. You can take a listen at http://www.mushroom-farm.com

Nice stuff, I really enjoyed the listen. I have an upgraded Epi Les Paul with all new wiring, CTS pots, a quality switch, and some Zhangbuckers, and I really like it. Your rig sounds fantastic sir. :)

@AtomicRoost Go to Seymour Duncan's web site. Then Support --> Wiring diagrams --> Humbucker Diagrams -->Jimmy Page style wiring! :)

@AtomicRoost Yes, firstly I bought the "kit" from torresengineering in US and then I had it all installed by Dan Mcpherson (Southend, UK) and he did and excellent job. I could have done the installation myself, but there is some very very trickly soldering involved even in just the installation so I didn't want to take a chance. Thanks for your comments on my playing by the way, much appreciated.

@AtomicRoost No sorry, I had a guitar tech do the work for me, very tricky wiring/soldering etc.

almost forgot! This was the drive channel, but the pre-volume was only at about 4 and the post volume was wide open

The reverb is from the amp, but the overal "room" sound is simply the sound of the room via the stereo mics on the video camera. Thanks for stopping by !

Nice licks brother, very Jimmy inspired! I think it sounds very close to the sound he had in The Song Remains The Same. Are you using the clean channel cranked or the OD "channel"? and are you using the Peavey's reverb? I have an older classic thirty and the reverb does not sound like that (arena rock). Thanks in advance, and keep on rockin'!
