Proud to say I bought this too.......one of my most prized 45s. Lovely mix. Wouldn't it be amazing if 'Treason' was remixed to bring those missing vocals up?! Thanks to Gryphon for an excellent track.

I can't quite remember how (or why) this came into being..........SOMEONE at Harvest EMI must have imagined that we'd sell at least two copies AND WE DID ! (thank you so much "silksashbash" & "Zephaniah" ) !! for some reason there's almost a negative quotient of Bass on this.... a shame, as Richard (Harvey) was most influenced by Chris Squire (of YES) scudding basslines, and came up with a great line for the chorus . Ah Well, we have to be grateful the thing still exists at all...a lovely river..... thank you Warmest greetings Brian

I wonder if this isn't pretty close to what teh basic song was, brought into rehearsal by whichever band member who wrote it, and all the intricate arrangement embroidery was added to that.

I too have the original 45, which I had to order from WH Smith Colchester in 1977. Took a week to arrive but it wasn't half worth it. Love these lyrics!! especially the vicar bit. And what better day to play Spring Song than the first day of spring (20.03.2014)?

The B-side is "The Fall of the Leaf" from the album "Treason". It runs for 4:22 minutes. Not sure how long the album version was?

Love that this a completely different recording than the album. It's not just the original chopped up like so many Yes singles from the '70's. And I could actually here the vocals in this mix. Very nice. So, what was the B-side of this?
