im gonna be brutally honest with you here, and i promise im not being a dick. i dont care what subgenre of metal im listening to. if i like the song, i listen to it. if i dont like it, i dont listen to it. thats it. all this crap about what metal is real metal is about as stupid as one discussion can be. its entirely subjective, and fighting about it is like a bunch of kindergarteners throwing crayons at each other. i like disturbed, i love blind guardian, and grave digger is pretty cool.

I see no problem in listening to Soad, Disturbed and etc. And what does true metal means ? Metal is the genre the bands you listed play and wheather you like it or not it is still the same genre. Old metal does not aways mean best. And yes I do like power metal clasics since I'm listening to this sond but I like Soad to :)
