I think Lyrer0 said it best, borrowing and sharing of lyrics is part of the history of blues. How many people wrote songs based off of Hoochie Coochie Man and Rollin' and Tumblin' for example? "Working from 11 to 7 (or 7 to 11) really makes life a drag" is the only thing that's the same between this and Since...

Anyone saying zep "stole" since ive been loving you from this is a fucking idiot. Ok yeah some of the lyrics are the same, but theres tons of blues songs with these types of lyrics...its not in the same key, pages intro solo and middle solo are completely original, the chord progression during the chorus of since ive been loving you has absolutely no resemblance to the chorus...shut the fuck up and stop trying to make them look like theyve stolen every song they've written...even the ones they "stole", they added completely original parts, and changed tons of things about them....i guarantee if this was the other way around, if since ive been loving you came out first, and then this band released this song nobody would say they stole this from zep...becauses theres nothing fucking similiar other than the fact that they're both laid back blues songs that share a few sentences of lyrics...retards

I don´t think Since I've Been Loving You is a copy of this song, only share a few words. Many songs share a lot of words or have a common title and there's no copy, in that case all the songs were a copy. Think about it and be happy.

Zep has indeed stolen much, and has been forced to make restitution to the real composers of some of "their" songs. In this case, the righteous thing would be to share the credit, but legally, they didn't have to: They didn't use a copyrightable-length of lyrics or melody, and the other aspects of the tune: chords, rhythms, guitar riffs, can't be legally protected. If the blues had a copyright, one guy'd be making all the money.

If they " adore " Jerry Miller as much as you say and pay respect to him ....how about putting his name on the writing credits ? If this were done today , Led Zeppelin would have their collective butts hauled into court and sued for plagiarism ..they seem to " adore " Jake Holmes , Bert Jansch, Sonny Boy Williamson etc in much the same way

I am a big Zep fan, but it's clear that the whole concept of "Since..." has been taken from this song. Zep just added more gunpowder as they were living in 70's

There are many many more.....They only inspired Led Zeppelin they did not make them.... Robert and Jimmy to this day adore Jerry Miller of Moby Grape for his inspiration to Led Zeppelin... They visit and pay respect to a truly unseen, unknown brilliant inspiration of their music....jerrymillersmusic

The real question is why did Led Zep steal from such shitty bands.

oh well thats if you're starting at 7am and ending at 11pm, i always assumed it 7-11pm because who actually works 16 hour shifts

11-7 = 8 hours , 7-11 = 16 hours.
