From the 1971 album E PLURIBUS FUNK. This was their 5th album. The song was written by Mark Farner.

This has some of the fattest, fuzziest low end I've ever heard! Mel Scacher was the man!

Mark Farner - Guitars, Vocals

Don Brewer - Drums, Vocals

Mel Scacher - Bass, Vocals

I'll give Tery Knight one thing, he knew how to market a band with this album and the Am. Band album. The last great album I can remember with a built-in marketing tool was Rolling Stones SICKY FINGERS album with it's zipper.

This is the most under rated song, no radio play, NONE. It's in my top ten of all time and for that matter Grand Funk is one of, if not thee most, under rated bands of all time. I saw them under the stars in Hawaii in Andrews amphatheater 1981 when they lived in Maui. Mark is such a great showman and the drummer kicks a. And as with any power trio you know they all had to be the s. A day/night I will cherish forever.

My first album was GFR's Red LP. Played the Hell out of it. Songs like Winter and my Soul and Inside looking out , and Paranoid All serious Speaker blowers and Cop callers ! I used to piss my neighbors off to no end with that LP . And then the Black double Live LP helped really annoy the neighbors . I currently have nearly every single LP they ever recorded on CD - including all the best of's . I can't help but think bands like this and Neil Young could be called the Godfathers of Grunge .

This is what rock is all about G.F.R one of the best bands in the 70's. They didn't get enough recognition from the media.
