true with many bands, i thought the same thing with zeppelin after IV, post bon scott ac/dc, aerosmith with their reunion, etc. the reason gfr started writing more commercial material was to make money in a hurry, their manager terry knight could be the worst in history, the was robbing them blind, had all the rights, and when gfr decided to get rid of him he was so spiteful he confiscated all their equipment after a show at madison garden.

hey, High Falootin' Woman, in my opinion, happens to be just 1 of their claims to fame. They burst onto the scene and never left. You could hear them 3 miles away, and they always sounded fantastic. No skimping on the necessities. If anything, maybe a bit tooo much, if that's possible. Always ready. Always steady. They came to play, and you always got your moneys' worth; and more. They were both, a great opening act as well as the Main Show. I have no idea what they could have done 2 be better.

i didn't know that the critics disliked GRAND FUNK. They have always played everything to perfection, or as close as can be. You never get 2nds from Grand Funk...It's always straight-up, in your face, pure Rock N Roll. 3 guys, living a dream, and doing quite well at it. I've seen them several times and yet have only great things to say about them. I wish I could play as well as Mark does. As a younger rocker, these guys were my favorites, they have withstood the test of time. I'm a FUNKER. . .
