I would imagine that his appearance in Judd Apatow's THIS IS 40 will give him a late career boost. I wonder if that's exactly what Apatow was trying to do, because the role is way bigger than you would normally get for a muso playing themselves in what is normally just a live performance cameo. This is such a great fucking record. As is Howlin' Wind, Heat Treatment and The Mona Lisa's Sister, if you ask me.

Not here because of Adam Carolla although I did just list to his interview. Graham Parker is currently on tour - I'm a hugh fan from way, way, back. The more I listen to his new album the more I like it. Can't wait to see him and the greatest backup band of all time in Boston next week.

Squeezing Out Sparks one of THE best albums ever, and in my opinion then and since, THE most under-rated one of all time. GP was so unlucky not to end up a megastar like the equally brilliant Elvis (Costello that is!). As you'd expect a brilliant live group too. All the best Graham!

I bought this the year it came out on vinyl and it wasn't the most popular album around? In other words when I played it for friends they to a one had never heard of this guy? Alternative radio stations were playing him,but that was the extent of his exposure! Love his music and also this album!

There were not many promo vids for GP. Local Girls, Protection, Stupefaction, Temporary Beauty, Life Gets Better, Break Them Down, Wake Up, Get Started Start a Fire are the ones I can think of.
