i'm a little annoyed with this one actually. don't get me wrong i love Gotye but like nobody is there making all the intricate clickety-pop sounds (or any of the percussion for that matter) we hear on the album.. as far as i can see? it's just a recording with some violins and his vocals..

great the way i find out that bands and stuff are good is by looking at the film clips than looking at the live stuff gotye is the best person i know to make them sound the same
