Gordon Parsons (1926-1990) Toured Australia for many years with the top shows of the day. Gained notoriety in 1957 when he penned the song "The Pub with No Beer", which he adapted from a poem written by Dan Sheehan. Slim Dusty recorded the song and it became on of the biggest hits in Australia's music history.
Affectionately known as "the Old G.P." - Gordon was a hit where ever he showed.
