good question. in my opinion, if someone writes something amazing enough for me (or any other person for that matter) to think "hmm, i'm gonna sit down and figure out how to play this" about it, it really shows how good the piece of music is in the first place. i have the utmost respect for anyone whose music manages to inspire other people, be it through lyrics, vocals or instrumental performances, regardless of genre.
