Going through my old cassette tapes, found this gem from 1990. Music just hasn't progressed much in the past couple decades. I bet you could play this on The Current today and it would mesh cleanly in with modern indie music.

Very original and creative band. Always driving. Shirley Manson's vocals are excellent. Obvious that one day she would step to the front. But her vocals are perfect with Martin Metcalf's vocals. The band should have been bigger.

Awesome band, thanks YOUTUBE and the likes of Manneianevski for keeping the Mackenzies alive ... was first put onto them by another ex band member the amazing "Jamie Waterson" go for it Jamie !!! Stil got all the singles released on 12" vinyl and wont be giving them up. CLASS, just wish I could see them live again.

Big John, Shirley...wow what a band. I would chat to them and they were so cool with their fans...one night at a venue right next to Waverly they came on at 3am and it was well worth the wait. They were also playing at Glasgow Green for the Big Day...they even surpassed another great Scots band BIG COUNTRY.
