In piena beatlesmania, un giorno, nel record store, scopro "Undead" dei TYA ... da allora grande amore .... fino a "Positive vibrations". Uno dei tracks più indicativi delle loro straordinarie qualità nel contaminare blues rock e jazz è "Standing at the station", da ascoltare a palla (anche per apprezzare le tessiture di pianoforte di Chick nella seconda parte del brano) ....11 years назад

My favorite band all throughout high school and Viet Nam. Of course Alvin is very underrated, but even more so is the greatest rhythm section ever in rock. Especially Leo Lyons on bass, but Rick and Chick were the best too. They let Alvin loose to do what he wanted Jazz style, knowing they would keep up and even ahead of wherever he went. to bassandguitarguy ~ ...just the one, six days ago. So it was Ric's b/day, not Alvins...I see now, yea...that's coming up Dec 19th. I saw these guys play (without Alvin, guitar by Joe Gooch) in Wales this Summer. Good stuff too, though I don't recall them playing anything off Watt unfortunately. They did do Love Like A Man, 'natch and I'd Love To Change The World. Presently they're on tour in Europe ;-j14 years назад
