i dunno, this sounds like a generic dance track. The original had all that hilarious 80s-ness done in a Goldfrappy way. This just sounds like any other club song.

Rocket is not charting that well which is a surprise, poppy catchy tunes usually do well. Anyway, I think it's a mistake from Goldfrapp to go back to playing the sex card. They'd moved on with 7th Tree and needed something completely new. Bowie never played the same character twice and that's what made him what he was in the 70s.

I loved Seventh Tree (apart from the dreadful hiss on the vocal, it's almost C90 quality) This makes I Should Be So Lucky - the football chant of songwriting sound like Bridge Over Troubled Water.

@94mav98 I totally agree, most people that liked their older stuff tend to like Seventh Tree, but I suppose I'm just odd b/c I've loved them since Felt Mountain and still believed Seventh Tree was the least best (although still a good album) from all the albums. My favorite though is black cherry & supernature. Cannot wait for head first!

@purelypolyester The Rocket single is coming out by Goldfrapp in the US on March 11th. This remix is on it as well as the original and 3 other remixes of the same song. Can't wait to get it! :)

Goldfrapp get crappier. I prefer the first LP, and the remixes from it too. Plaid, Massey & Tom Middleton. I went to watch Goldfrapp when all that Ohh La La crap was around. Thankfully the night wasn't completely screwed as Hot Chip were support. Time passes and now they are crap too. Oh well.

I think you`ll find (Chaziltasm) she was actually born in1976 not `66 as I have seen elsewhere... which makes her 33 (birthday 13th May). A great re-mix of a great pop track, anyway, and she`s still a fit lass!! Her vocals do remind me of a certain Donna Lewis who had a hit with "I Love You Always Forever" in `96... no bad thing though!
