Heard this on WWDC-101 back in 1979. All rap music proceeds from this tune. Eat your heart out Grandmaster Flash.

Such memories. This got lots of play when I lived in Toronto (can't remember the alternative stations call letters). I bought the tape and played it to death. I called in to the station telling them it was the first song I heard on the radio when I first moved there and from then on, I was hooked on their station. They put me on their party bus to NY to see the Grateful Dead. Good times.

Brilliant song and lyrics. The lyrics are so clever they are a little to clever which may explain why Godley & Creme weren't as big as they deserved to be :)

Yes, Godley and Creme's Snack Attack did get some airplay in Stockton, California on KSJC-FM. How do I know? I was on air talent, and back in those days we got to pick our music. Sure do miss those days! Now play lists are made mostly at the corporate level, and board operators/on air talent are just playing a big video game on their computer thanks to the infiltration of automation.

weird. I read this exactly at the moment they were singing it.

Recorded this on tape back in the day :) Had a library that used to have the craziest records just around the corner (in Groningen). It cost ƒ 1,- a day to rent a record - a fortune to me in those days, but I always had the coolest new music :)

hace tiempo que no oía nada de esta gente, muy buena, parece mentira que la música sea de principios de los 80, y tienen muchos temas buenos

This song got airplay in your area?? You're lucky! Not once did I ever hear this -- or any other G&C song, for that matter -- on the radio where I grew up (Boston area). (OTOH, you'd hear 10cc "I'm Not in Love" like every five minutes ... :-/)

"I'd gladly sign away my soul for a t-bone steak tonight." Heh ... this song has some of the best lyrics of any musical genre, IMO.

When I hear this song, along with "Mexican Radio" and "Italian Shoes" it brings me back to Southern Maryland listening to WHFS. I had forgotten their call letters.
