I just listened to all 4 versions - yes I know there are other covers. But IN MY OPINION - Sonny James comes in 4th, Glen's is a fantastic 3rd.I can't - and dammit I DON'T HAVE TO - choose between Randy Travis & Brook Benton. Brook Benton is incredible, his version is beautiful, and Glen followed that version but with a little more blues underneath. Randy Travis took it and told a story that every redneck - and every other guy for that matter - can relate to and understand.All the other "covers"; well they're just singin a song.Thanks again for the upload!Glen rocks!10 years назад
