i think this song is about how she fell in love with a guy and learns to love him for who he is so she says im giving up on making passes like she loves him and is not interested in anyone else. she loves him for his imperfections. shes giving up on greener grasses cause no one is perfect so shes settling with the one she loves. So I recently had a realization. I used to think I was too good for this guy that liked me. I've known now for a while that he's too good for me. I really do want him back, but as of now he's happy with someone else. She's an awesome person and I have nothing bad to say about her. Why does everyone think this song is sad? it is not necessarily sad! The song is about her not feeling like she is good enough for him, and in the end she gives up trying to be perfect to prove her worthy of him. In the end she is just herself for him :)
