This is one of my favourite Lennon songs as it nails so many people to the wall, politicians and otherwise, and John did an admirable job with it. But let me encourage you to listen to Sam Phillips (with the help of T-Bone Burnett) covering this song. She really puts the frustrated, piercing jab that John intended, as she sings the lyrics against all of the douche bags mentioned in this song. Give her a listen, I think you'll be impressed.
