Ha ha, I had NO IDEA that GOS has written and recorded this song!!! He's got a sound all of his own. I always imagine him singing and playing down the pub, with all the guys swing their pint-pots in time with the music!

I know this IS a GOS tune but for some reason I prefer the Hurricane Smith version. Perhaps I heard the HS version first and I loved the sax work on his track so much that it imprinted as a favourite but whatever, ever since, Gilbert's always seemed like a cover version, yet I knew he wrote it, it has GOS stamped all over it.
