This might be of interest to anyone who heard Gilbert`s great live session on BBC Radio 2`s Ken Bruce Show on July 18th 2011 . Ken was in the BBC`s main studio in London and linked up to Gilbert and his band over in the Maida Vale studios , also in London . Gilbert performed five songs throughout Ken`s show including this version of Alone Again ( Naturally ) . All the pictures you see here are from the actual session and it gives you an idea of what went on behind the scenes that morning . Apologies for the sound quality .

I'm 67 yrs old and am for the first time discovering the talented Gilbert O'Sullivan. When he started to hit the charts in the 70s, I just thought he was too pop; I played traditional folk music and was somewhat of a snob when it came to pop music. But now I'm more open minded and don't know how I could've missed that he was a bipedal musical note, really I want to learn some of his songs, for the fun of it. Ray/Gilbert is a perfect example of a real talent that was seriously done-over by management / contracts / record company, or whatever it was. There should be a law against stifling talent such as his..... P.S. Ken Bruce is a pain in the arse!13 years назад
