I'm trying to find songs like this one, but coming up empty handed. Also I'm still not sure who wrote this song, Bill Callahan or Gil Scott-Heron. I think its Callahan, but really can't be sure. Anyway, Gil Scott-Heron's version fills me with a haunting nostalgia like very few songs can. After enough doodling I was able to figure the guitar for this song, but playing it myself doesn't get me near the same feeling as when I'm just listening to it. I should probably stop listening before it loses all meaning, put it on the shelf for awhile. In the mean time does anyone have any suggestions of songs like this one?
