- i thought the same thing, and then no Tammy appeared i knew. but this girl here should have had a recording career, and kept that Tammy sound around for the women as inspiration. cause ill tell ya. two lady singers who just cant be duplicated are Patsy Cline/ Tammy Wynette. ~ Bravo

Patsy backed ol' Jones on a lot of those Jones and Tammy songs during George's stage show in those days... She could sound a lot like Tammy. I can see how someone would mistake it if they didn't know. I think old Patsy was pretty darn good in her own right- she would have had to have been to be picked by George Jones to sing backup!! She tried recording on her own, never got too big and I don't understand why... I think she's pretty darn talented...

man, watching him even after all of these years STILL just makes me speechless... he was just so damned GOOD!! Usually, a good singer will come along... you like them a bunch until the new wears off, then you stop paying attention... its not like you don't like them anymore, but they become boring almost and you are already focused on something else that came along... With George Jones it isn't like that... He STILL makes my hair stand on end after a lifetime of listening... never gets old

@Charlie Georgia -- Yes, I agree now that I listen again, that's Patsy Sledd and not Tammy. -- thought Tammy sounded "different" when I first listened.
