As a bass player, I prefer the original mix on the ancient CD I have had more many years. The bass here is pushed back in places and is generally overwhelmed by the cymbals. I wonder why a remix of a song written and sung by a drummer would bring those cymbals up so close?

My parents divorced when I was a teenager. My father wanted to stay together but my mother wanted to end it. That happened nearly 40 years, and my father has long since remarried and had a child with my step-mom, and yet I swear if he heard this song he would totally break down in tears.
