I think something for them to remember is, the songs they sing can be very invasive because they are very personal, so they are polarizing. And going to a conservative-ish city, those who want to seek refuge from that will come to see them. The TV producer obviously internalized it a negative way, probably due to something going in their personal life related to pregnancy, I believe would be a fair guess.

... that the NDAA should have been thrown out. Our supreme court justices have fail us. We need to all endorse third parties. At least get some people to vote that way too, which is hard because most people feel third party electors are throwing their vote away. Its an age old tactic called despair. It keeps a lot of others not voting entirely. No more two party system! I'd love it if they dropped political parties entirely, eliminating a corrupt process. Down with Damns and Reaps!

Democrats are for censorship they even signed for taking our freedoms away called the NDAA . Every candidate for president besides romney and Obama (you don't capitalize names of inanimate objects) has brought up their intention of doing away with that right stripping act, but neither of the two-party candidates has said or done anything to change that, so unconstitutional

I actually think that the good reactions in the more conservative cities makes sense: your audience is probably made up of the disenfranchised who are relived that they can finally laugh at a dick joke in a public space.
