Actually i was not the first to mention this, it was already in discussion before i left the comment. but i was always fascinated by the time signature on it, [try mixing it with standard 4/4 beats hahaa] agreed with you on the state of music today, mainly because of coorporate ownership and business but also because of the shady control of media....Guru and many other artists have been saying this all along....Peace.

gotta give it to you for being the first comment about the beat,recognizing in your own words"time signature" that this is a 3 count beat...the days of style,i was smoked out at 17 peepn,analyzing this and other rap songs beats and rhyme patterns....all bullshit music today is predictable and basic with every rhyme landing on the 4....today style means nothing and biting is overlooked...thats disrespecting hip hop,we gotta"TEACH THE CHILDREN,SAVE THE NATION"

If you're talking about mainstream hip hop, there's no hard work, effort, heart and soul put into music anymore. Not the hip hop music of today no way in hell It's all about sipping champagne getting many women calling them bitches and hoes club bangers and making money. @mattlambrecht1 My point can be better represented as such: A 2/4 measure is much more reasonable than 2/32. Although tempo doesn't technically have to affect the time signature (why not notate all 4/4 songs as slow 2/32?) there's an implied line somewhere.

@wcr4 those are all pretty much the same.. its just semantics at this point.. its in multiples of 3.. cut time. doesn't really matter what arbitrary beats you use to designate it.. i don't see why tempo would affec the time signature either... but u know whats even cooler is this song also has a swing which makes all the smaller cuts in the rythym into 3's /triplets as well... in fl it sounds the same at about 80bpm 3/4 measures w an 8th note count on the highhats
