Interesting cover; if you want an artist that really sounds like Mercury tho, try MIKA (Love Today is a good one to hear his range). His voice is fairly similar, and the way he hits his high notes is incredible.

I'm not saying Fun. is the next Queen, but they are the closest thing my generation has to them, aside from actual Queen. If you listen to a Fun. album from beginning to end, I think you'll see there are similarities. They are by no means Queen, but they are reminiscent of them, and that's why some proclaim them as "The New Queen"

Fun. clearly has a musical influence from Queen. At the very least Nate's voice is more similar than one I can think of to Freddie Mercury's. No one could ever complete with Mercury's voice however to say that there is no similarity or influence between his and Nate's voice (completely aside from this cover) would be stupid.
