I'd love to see a "Teenager Of The Year" tour with these exact musicians and/or the ones on the album and have them perform the whole entire science fantastic 22 tracks! This has to be one of the best albums of all time! Maybe Frank Black fans could suggest politely or petition respectfully of course,because that would be one awesome concert!

to be honest, i haven't gotten around getting really into his later records. i mostly dig the first three solo albums. the first one in particular reminds me of pixies, but in a really awesome non-bummer kinda way. just as crazy and happy and agressive, but i get the feeling it's a more lose black francis, possibly even more hands-on than when working on the pixies records. and i really like that. saving the newer stuff for when i NEED new black francis. :)

@deathkampdrone i havent got his entire catalogue yet, thats why im askin i need to decide which to buy next and devour. i got the retrospective 93-08 and 'fast man raider man' and odd itunes purchases from honeycomb and toty... i really dig fast/raider its wimsical and elegant, enough country to tell a good story but you never feel like white trash for listening haha.

@hutuguru81 I would have to say T.O.T.Y., simply because it has so many good songs. The self titled album has great songs too, but not as many. It's a pretty rare thing to listen to a 22 track album and not wanting to skip one single track. But I like all his earlier solo recordings. The newer stuff just hasn't got to me yet, really, though I can totally accept his urge to seek out more traditional kinds of songwriting. I love it when he is a goofball. :) What's your own fave?

He's huge, but clearly no cunt. I bet he's sort of a special guy; seems very intelligent and he is a highly gifted songwriter. But why should he be a cunt?! I dont get it... I get this performance, on the other hand. Fucking TIGHT! Teenager of the Year is such a sweet and energetic record. Love the short songs! :)

I listened to Frank and the Pixies all night and then in the morning the words where stuck in my head and things go weird..... The lyrics are so amazing best songwriter of all time.
