Capercaillie has been one of my favorite groups since I first heard them live. I love this song.They are much better live than on their albums, for what it's worth. Still this song stirs my soul as many of my ancestors came from Scotland during the events spoken to here and the Irish potato famine and the troubles in Northern Ireland starting with the Easter Rebellion. Sad that most of the people with Gaelic as their milk tongue, be it Irish or Scottish, now come from North Eastern Canada.

Saw Capercaillie at London South Bank a few months ago. "At the Heart of it All Tour." They were brilliant. They never cease to amaze me with their great music and musicianship. And Karen's voice is exquisite.

I have a pretty thorough Knowledge of history and politics. That's WHY I said that borders aren't, in themselves, bad. It's the hatred of people on the other side of those borders that is bad. Most borders were created in response to need. I NEED space, so NO you can't sit on my lap all the time. It doesn't mean I hate you and never let you touch me. It's the HATE that is bad, not the boundary.
