Mad Mike brought this to the Pittsburgh oldies scene...great favorite at West View Dance Land. This was actually a "B" side recorded on the Columbia label. The "A" side was "You belong to me" (NOT SURE) but nowhere near as beautiful as this song.

@ R ReDz This group on Smash,Constellation,& Columbia is from BROOKLYN,NY, not Philly. There WAS a Four-evers group from Philly but they recorded for Jamie(Everybody South Street).That group was TOTALLY unrelated to the Brooklyn who had minor hits on SMASH in 1964.( Be My Girl, Say Ooby DUM DUM) Besides the Jamie group SUCKED compared to the Brooklyn group.Thanks to Jerry Blavat the SMASH recordings were played as oldies on WPGR in Philly in the 80`s.Rest assured,they were from BROOKLYN,NY.

Pittsburgh had some good doowop and early rock acts. I akso like early Jan&Dean version of this.

Excellent ballad by a hugely underrated Brooklyn group. It was a big song in Pittsburgh when it came out.
