There are some bands where you could replace anyone and they could carry on fine regardless. However, there are definitely some bands where a specific member (usually, not always!, the vocalist/ writer) makes the band. Lacey was that member in flyleaf.

Flyleaf's new music sucks. This is the worst Lacey-era Flyleaf song, btw. I have no idea how on earth anyone likes this song. It's just awful. I literally deleted it off of my computer because it gives me jitters when it comes on. In contrast with EVERY OTHER TRACK on the CD New Horizons, which are all amazing. Amazing, just like every song on Memento Mori. And just like every song on their eponymous LP. RIP Flyleaf. I can't believe the new singer & the band had the nerve to call themselves "Flyleaf" after the chief creative element left. Whatever they are isn't Flyleaf, and Flyleaf's old fans wouldn't hate on the new Flyleaf if they'd chosen a new name.
