I don't know why people are hating on this performance! Yes, she had one mistake with one high note and could probably add more dynamics and legato, but her voice is gorgeous classically and she could do it if she wanted to. She just seems to be more comfortable with the belting rock and metal style than classical. But having both styles under her belt makes her a one-of-a-kind singer. I hope to become like her one day :D

I wonder if the people who criticize her for not doing well, realise she's not a trained opera singer. She has had some training but you can't compare her to opera singers that have been doing opera for years and years. Given that she's not as trained as they are, she does well.Floor is not an opera singer, she is first and foremost a metal/rock singer.

Beautiful sound. Floor had no problem with this one and it's refreshing to hear her sing something different from her usual genre. Of course, having entered the conservatory for a time did extend her comfort zone, so I'm just being Mr Obvious here. Still, well done! Brava Floor!

I just wanted to post here that this program is opening up classical music to a wider audience, using singers that dont sing opera or any styles like that to sing a classical song that they like. Of course they wont be as great as a proffesional singer, who does this kind of songs all the time. But I think it is beautifull and it also makes me curious about the original. And that is the point of this show. Not to compare but to open the minds to other styles of music.

I am sick of reading douchebags talking about how they have so much more knowledge than others ... Please please pretty please, if you just wanna be insulting, just keep your mouths shuts then. Floor might not be the most perfect singer in all times but at least she sings in tune. She does beautiful melodies, she achieves high notes even if we can see she does efforts to achieve it... That's so couragious of her to sing Arias since she's not an operatic singer to begin with. CAn I just add that she's a singing teacher so I think she knows what she's doing, she studied at the Dutch Rock Academy, she entered the conservatory and studied Opera for one year. She can play several instruments and she's got a soprano vocal range. and she wouldn't have been invited to this show to sing this Aria if she wasn't good at it. About the "screaming" I wonder if you've ever listen to people that can't sing high notes without screaming... It's just not the same ... She sings louder that's right but she doesn't scream!!! All I know is that I have pleasant times listening to her voice, she's not out of tune, she managing her voice and orientation of her mouth to let the air go the good way, she breathes right, and she does really good work during concert. But I assume that "Alex Orozco" knows better than her former teachers and relatives. And according to what you say if someone doesn't listen to Opera he can't be able to argue with you about music.. Which I think is wrong because almost everyone is able to recognize in and out of tune notes and beauty ... So I clarify that I do listen to Opera, Lyrical singing Symphonic Metal, Gothic Metal, Black Metal, Neo Metal, Pop, Rock, Hard FM, Variety and even Rap when I find a song that fit my wishes. I also followed a course about Opera and achitecture. Which doesn't make me the most informed person about music by the way. Don't call people ignorant because it makes you look like a "know-it-all" prick and that's just sooooooo annoying... That's advice, not critisism... I'll just finish with saying that music is about emotions, a singer has to conduct emotions of a song to us with his/her voice. Opera is about representing emotions with your voice and melodies. I can't see how she can be lame regarding the fact that she expresses emotions with a beautiful voice and beautiful high notes...
