Man, these guys deserved better than they got. They were better than several contemporaries such as The Buckinghams, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap, several others. They were accomplished songwriters, not too prolific but still "Western Union", "Tell Ann I Love Her","Evol Not Love", "I See the Light", "ZIP Code", and several others. Actually, when you come down to it, they had more good songs than Sonny & Cher.

What show was that? It was rare that pop/rock artists played live on TV shows back then; normally they lip-synched to their records. But the Americans were gettin' it on for real on that clip!
