The bad girl of EDM strikes again!
The past year has seen Fei-Fei releasing stadium sized bass tunes earning props from Benga to Bassnectar, touching down all over the world from heavy festivals to intimate club gigs, further adding to the Feided Junkie army, her cult-like rabid fan following.
Mixmag recently featured Fei-Fei as an artist to “keep an eye on” and Armin Van Buuren dubbed her signature wild diverse style as "Fei-Step" further proving that originality pays off.
2013 sees the Fei-Fei kick it to high gear as she unleashes a duo of epic festival bangers on her ‘Flying Daggers EP’ via UK mega label NewState Music. After that, she keeps on pummeling with ‘Safety Off,’ a delightfully filthy track handpicked by Steve Aoki to feature on Dim Mak's New Noise compilation. The party keeps raging as her collab with the UK grime masters Newham Generals, ‘W.Y.P,’ comes out on the duo's artist album on Dirtee Stank along with a special music video for this ravetastic, grimey tune.
The ‘Flying Daggers EP’ features title track ‘Flying Daggers’ a pulversing, bassline-banger with a massive rave-synth made for the big systems. On the flip is the esoteric ‘Queen Cobra’ with a skanking bassline, twisted horn section and rolling snares.
Fei-Fei is rapidly intoxicating the dance music community and beyond, with features in publications from LA Weekly to Mixmag to Urb, an impressive number of Beatport Top Tens, and a diverse support list from 12th Planet to Armin Van Buuren.
Fei-Fei has also rocked some ridiculously wicked events. From London's super club Proud2 to the legendary UKF Stage at the Relentless NASS Festival, from the infamous ASOT 550 stage at Insomniac's Beyond Wonderland to the legendary Godskitchen party in Poland, from Seattle's mega NYE Resolution party to Heat - the massive sold out college show with Major Lazer and on to the world renowned SXSW festival in Austin plus dancing across the US from New York’s Webster Hall, Miami WMC 2013 Chicago and Honolulu to Atlantic City and everything in between.
A wild child? A bad girl? One thing is for sure. There are no rules. Fei-Fei stays true to her own diverse sound.
So expect the unexpected and get ready to get Feided.
