I love the gentle sound of this song, Faun is a favorite musical group ... I wonder if a few centuries ago, we may have heard some lyrical music similar?

The language I believe is Medieval French....well, some form of French. I can at least recognize that after a year of taking French in high school lol.

I really love the fact that such old songs from the past time are still availible for us to hear in such beautiful music.for me, it gives me a little window to feel and think about how the times must have been then, over 700 years ago.

Now I'm going to correct you, because you should've used 'always' instead of 'everytime' ;)

Whaou ! It's old French... De toute beauté ! J'ai eu beaucoup de mal à le comprendre. complètement différent de notre langage actuelle. Mais très beau. Presque aussi magnifique que le français contemporain.

She's probably singing in occitan. At least, to me it sounds like a frenchy occitan - but it might be all about the pronounciation. Occitan was a dialect spoken in the south of france and a big part of northern spain, also spoken in some parts of Italy. French and Catalan do have occitan roots. Other bands like Helium Vola also use occitan in some songs.

Flamdring, I'm french and I recognized that it was an old french language from Middle Ages... There is a lot of french words inside the song, so it's easy for a French person to recognize it
