Charted at #86 on Billboard Hot 100 in December 1957 and #21 on UK Singles chart. B-side of "Let Me Be Loved" which did not chart in Billboard. Also #25 on the Hot 100 for the Four Esquires in November 1957 (#23 UK). Another version by Marion Ryan charted at #5 in the UK. Original Billboard review: "The Four Esquires have a strong version of this. Miss Gorme's cover, with the same picked-guitar type backing, with addition of a smart Bernie Glow trumpet solo, can also account for loot. First-rate performance." Billboard rating: 82 out of 100.

Written by Beverly Guthrie & Gary Lynes.

Love Me Forever was written by Gary Lynes of New Haven, CT. He wrote other songs, but this was his big hit in 1957. He told me that it was his "throwaway" song when he pounded the pavement in NYC with the other songs he wrote, but this was the one that they wanted.

Any chance you have a seldom heard Eydie Gorme single "Chain Reaction". I believe it was for Coral and from about 1956. It's a really great rock n roll/swing tune!

What an unique voice. I grew up listening to her songs. Relatives, friends and places forever gone, can´t help my tears. She made us so happy listening to her records that she can rest in peace now.

Bella canzone che avevo dimenticato e che ore ritorna alla memoria fresca come non mai, con il profumo, questo sì indimenticato, dei miei 17 anni.
