As an avid listener of Av-ant garde and progressive rock and metal, DSO is a creative and masterful force. Like many of the bands in the genre DSO is not radio friendly nor is it approachable by average person who only hears music unlike the group mentioned in a earlier comparison. I have listened to DSO and Muse in depthand to compare them is if using a paper towel cover a river, Muse being the paper towel, this not a negative criticism of Muse for they have some rather excellent moments but what I do mean is that Muse is very on the surface, lyrically thin and musically conventional which makes them rather safe for the average audience. Catchy safe and simple in the mainstream music industry means quality, Muse fits right in DSO does not.
