I saw Ex Hex perform live night before last while out on tour with King Tuff. I had no idea who they were, but was blown away by their performance. Such a rockin' band! from start to finish. I now love them! cannot get enough. Do not miss the opportunity to see this group perform live; you will be glad that you did! And while you are at it purchase their new album; it is 32 minutes and 59 seconds of pure bliss.

i don't want to really slam this, exactly. it's fun, if this is your idea of fun - and it's not far from my idea of fun. but, it's generic bar band music. the kind of thing that's worth dropping $10 on if you want to go have a few beers and dance around like a goof for a few hours. which i'm known to do. i almost caught them with speedy ortiz a few months ago, but i was sick that night.but, it's just not the kind of thing that transfers over particularly well to a recording. and that means it's simply not "best of..." material. and, to an extent, i think the band would agree with that.
