This is melodic death metal, man. If we speak about "pure" death metal, we could say that bands like Entombed, Cancer, Vomitory, Morbid Angel or Dismember are within this genre. The way this guys sound is not raw death metal at all, their music is full of melodic riffs and this give a kind of softer feeling in comparison to the typical death metal sound. Be careful when it comes to judge someone calling him a "noob" because you can be terribly wrong.

@xCh1eFx Actually, I think you might be. The chord progressions and tones are very similar in vein to Amon Amarth, although the song structure itself is much more refreshing. The vocals are definately in more of an older school Death Metal style, though. You should probably actually listen to a song and know the comparison before you go off making yourself look like a fool. By the way, the song is killer.
