Lyrics-

This silver lining is only a mirage

Held up by the crooked spines of our pasts

As weak as a sheet of paper

Our paper spines will collapse

And we thought they would hold us up

We stare upon this empty junction

What's left for us to conceal

We're sowing seeds of destruction

This crop of lies we must not yield

Count on each finger the lives trapped

Suffering for what cause

Buried beneath your thoughts

Are infinite signs of light in dark

Suppressed by self contradiction

Now release this vile decadence from within you

Upon this place of emptiness

Each spark a spew from within your bowels

Begin a reign of elegance

From thought to mouth

From mouth to speech

Speak out against what we've been told

Lead our nation to a new place

Away from this pit of black

Count on each finger the lives trapt

Suffering for what cause

Billions alive and stagnant

Starving is now a habit

Stop this before we collapse

We can only last so long

Force fed to the point of starvation

Because lies are so unsatisfying

2:43 reminds me so much of Misery Signals. Thats a fantastic thing though,

This reminds me a lot of Misery Signals and Hopesfall (I'm more of the old bands that started to use this types of melody) awesome band, found the on the comments of a Volumes video.

Still my favorite song by my favorite band. Those last two lyrics are the best I've ever heard

It would appear that Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, and Born of Osiris must have had a 3 way a few years back. Otherwise, there's no explanation for such brilliance.

Haha, that's great! The instrumental, for me, suits better with the clean ones. I like a lot BFMV's screams and they're "cleaner" than Erra's. The point is that I'm not fond of very deep screams, I prefer the pitched ones.

Haha, that's your preference. I listen from Indie Rock to stuff like this. I'm like an exception, because people who listen some kinds of metal here normally don't even care about Indie. And, for me, guttural vocals like this one I can reject.

i'm more of 10% cleans guy.

Their instrumental is perfect. Very creative. Particularly, I prefer more clean than guttural vocals (70% clean, 30% guttural, if I'd measure it).
