I disagree with youse (lol) guys saying this isn't country music and the song sucks. Modern contemporary country artists of today are starting to incorporate a lot of different genres into their songs (rap/funk/rock/r&b/soul) but it still has the key ingredient to keep it a country song. ALL tell a story. This song isn't just a song with jumbled phrases , strung together with a catchy backset, either. While it's a light song, it tells a story still.There's a lot of artistry and crossing barriers now. SMART because in doing so, country has an entirely new crowd of loyal fans added. Country music has always had a HUGE fanbase and loyal ones at that. If you had told me before I'd mainly be listening to country music later on in my life? I'd have laughed you out of the room. But I am and it's a huge majority of what I listen to now. Rascal Flatts, Lonestar, Tim McGraw (duet with Nelly!), Shania Twain were the first artists to pull me in - then came Luke Bryan, and they just keep on getting better now. I have seen well over 100 different concerts from all kinds of genres and been backstage at meet&greets. I can tell you this, big time country music artists are the real deal. There isn't any damned auto-tuning, voice manipulation going on and they sound amazing. They are also very fan oriented in their entire show. Backstage at meet&greets they take time to actually mingle with the people there and spend real time before the show. Don't find that a lot in other genres of music as a rule.JMO
