I know that I learned this song either from a a female folk singer, Joanne Dodds, in the D.C. area, in the late 70s, or from a male folk singer in the Boulder, CO area, by the name of George Murphy. I love this song.

lizzabbott..not sure who sang backups on it, but I read a book, "Girls Like Us" about Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon and Carole King, and in it somewhere, I read that Joni learned many of her open tunings from Eric.

Reason why people keep saying that Joni sang on this is b/c she DID sing on another song on this album. I 4get the title. But when I simply saw the image here of the ALBUM COVER, I mistakenly assumed that this was the tune she sang on, til hearing it. This b'up vox may be Debbie someone, maybe even Debbie Andersen? The backups just sound a 'lil dated now style-wise. But I had this album, and they sounded fine back then.
