In terms of overall audio-quality and refinement I agree. His new tracks sound a lot clearer and less messy than most tracks on EAP. I kinda like the "messy-ness" of this track though. It keeps on changing and it's so playful and chaotic overall that it adds to the experience, I guess.

EOD is the shit. I feel he was still refining his sound at this point. Volume 1 & 2 both show that he's hit his sweet spot sound wise.

yes, that's sort of what i was getting at but it's more along the lines of... these kinds of songs are more memorable compared to the songs of today. it just clicks in and stays there, know what i mean? the songs of today are great in their own right though that's for sure.

I think Epedemic is kinda saying that the kind of music that was brought about recently isn't as good as the kind of music that was brought about in the 90s. IDM/Aphexy stuff is still made today, but it's got that 90s vibe. It seems like no one is making anything new that no ones ever really heard before that's just as good as the stuff with an old vibe.

But it's from 2011! There's still a lot of music like this around, I suggest ballacid's YouTube channel. And yes, it really sounds pretty Aphexy in a good way. I like this track in particular because it changes over and over again. I hope RDJ and Clark will release something like this once again in the future.

this sounds pretty aphexy. thanks for uploading this stuff dude because i miss the old electronica sound. current electronica is good and all but the old school stuff is something to be remembered.
