This one is a real oldie. It is the B side to his worldwide smash hit "The Last Waltz" In the late eighties Engelbert's first 5 LPs were issued on CD in Germany and this was included as a bonus track on "The Last Waltz" CD. It's the only time it ever appeared on CD. It was never included on any LP. This is also the first Parrot single that was issued with a U.S.picture sleeve. Only a handful of his Parrot singles were issued with pic sleeves in this country. They are as follows; "The Last Waltz", "Am I That Easy To Forget", "Les Bicyclettes De Belsize", "The Way It Used To Be", "Winter World Of Love", "My Marie", "Sweetheart" and "When There's No You". "That Promise" is one of the many Gordon Mills compositions that Enge recorded early in his career. The intro to this song always reminded me of the intro to Mancini's "Pink Panther Theme". ENJOY!!

Cool, Sandeep, thanks for sending in the link.....I'll now go over to his theme From Dr. Zhivago. 60s and 70s were a great time when music was ingrained in us....and a singer like Humperdinck has always been much more than that to us.....remembering Papa on his birthday today for his wonderful collection of 45rpm and 78rpm records stretching right from the early fifties in fact.
