Shit to you, yes. That doesn't mean it is shit at it's core. Else no one would listen to it, no one would buy the albums, it wouldn't make enough money to keep those record companies running and it wouldn't still be produced today... Beastie Boys or Gorillaz are good examples of widely recognized rap/hip-hop artists. Some people have different and wide ranging musical tastes. I myself like everything except screamo and MC music, I didn't expect to like these guys, but hey, seems I do like them
