Everyone knows Danny can't really sing but back in the 90s that was standard for indie rock bands - look at Liam Gallagher FFS! it's only in the X-Factor era of the 2000s that we expect our frontmen to be pitch perfect. His vocals are passable and more importantly they're distinct and he's a great frontman. For me, as a massive Embrace fan, this is not and never will be an Embrace song and it's annoys me when people quote Gravity as the tune they remember Embrace the most for. They've done literally dozens of better and more distinct songs than this that they should be known for. Just check out their latest 2014 album which got to No. 5 - superb. BTW Coldplay's version of Gravity so sh*te and boring it's unbelievable and I don't mind Coldplay generally.

Para la gente que no sabe, esta canción Chris Martin la escribió para Embrace y ellos la grabaron para su disco Out of Nothing que salío en el 2004, antes que Coldplay la grabara como un lado B para su sencillo Talk. Así que aunque Chris Martin sea el escritor de la canción (ya que creyó que le iba mejor al estilo de Embrace), Coldplay esta haciendo cover de Embrace.

actually hes right ..not to be a dick but the coldplay version is completely different ..even the lyrics and the piano are different .It was a collaboration and even chris martin said there version was better ...and thats why he gave them the song .so your wrong ...look into it buddy ....and have some more respect if you dont know what the fuck your even talking about .

Not sure what song the "singer" is clapping to but it ain't the one his band are playing. Great song, shame they couldn't write their best song.

Danny is such a truly lovely guy- he doesn't deserve bad comments. He's just written about his awful experience with PTSD and also has a heart condition for which he has to take beta blockers. Plus, he and Chris regard each other as brothers!!

@dufski I agree, they write world class songs and look the part but I am stunned sometimes at how they ever got as famous as they did with Danny's tuneless vocals. I'd say that the vocals on this performance are actually pretty acceptable so what is the problem the rest of the time. Can he not here himself or is it nerves or does his voice just give up. I saw them live a few years back and it was awful. I can't listen to them now for this reason even though the songs are just so sublime
