People seem to tirelessly try to convince themselves that when a band says they're releasing a new album, that this somehow translates to "We're writing 'Our Last Album' Pt.2". Wake up and realize that this is not the case. Don't get me wrong, Relativity is probably my favorite album of all time, but I've come to terms with the fact that this band has progressed in a different direction since then. But they have PROGRESSED. Which is what is key here. They haven't reverted to something completely without thought or effort. Nor have they transformed so drastically that they are completely unrecognizable to their fans. Bands have to continue to grow, and with that said, I'm sure this album will continue to grow on those who have stuck by them thus far. Their hiatus was not in vein. Anyone with an open mind should take that into consideration, especially longtime fans who aren't too fond of this quite yet. They definitely delivered. All you have to do is take the time to listen...
