On this day in 1955 {August 20th} Sun Records released "I Forgot To Remember To Forget" b/w "Mystery Train" by Elvis... On February 25th, 1956 "I Forgot To Remember To Forget" reached #1 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's C&W Best Sellers chart and remained on the chart for well over a half-year {39 weeks}... "Mystery Train" itself almost made the Top 10; it reached #11 on the C&W chart {original by Little Junior's Blue Flames in 1953, also on Sun Records}... R.I.P. to The King {1935 - 1977}...

The touring helped kill this man. 70's on a down-slide. Oh, Elvis....how I wish there "Betty Ford" clinics around whilst you (Col. Parker) allowed your downslide after the early 70's. So sad. Very had (or will) hear such a beautiful voice. The Gods graced you, Elvis, with 3 lungs. Your beautiful voice will never be reproduced. God Bless you, (Canada - 2013)
